Models of Applied Population Dynamics

چکیده
The paper is an overview of our recent results achieved with different coauthors, concerning several research lines of applied population dynamics we initiated some years ago, and mostly published in 2010. First, based on the classical Leslie population model, a dynamic demographic model including controlled immigration is recalled, and applying the Perron-Frobenius theory of nonnegative matrices, a convergent optimal control algorithm is given, in order to address the sustainability problem of the considered pay-as-you-go pension system. Then, concerning the monitoring problem of particular population systems, observer design for certain trophic chains is presented. Furthermore, considering a fish population with a reserve area, we deal with the problem of steering the population into a desired new equilibrium, applying a timedependent fishing effort as a control function. To this end, an optimal control problem is set up, which is numerically solved using an optimal control toolbox developed for MatLab. Finally, for the analysis of the efficiency of certain agents to be applied in biological pest control, corresponding mathematical models are presented that describe the dynamics of the interaction between predator, parasitoid and pest insect populations.

In this paper we have tried mention to some sort of thewell-known evolutionary modeling approaches in economic territory such as Multi Agent simulations, Evolutionary Computation and Evolutionary Game Theory. As it has been mentioned in the paper, in recent years, the number of Evolutionary contributions applied to Multi-Agent models increased remarkably. However until now there is no consensus...
متن کاملPareto Optimization of Two-element Wing Models with Morphing Flap Using Computational Fluid Dynamics, Grouped Method of Data handling Artificial Neural Networks and Genetic Algorithms
A multi-objective optimization (MOO) of two-element wing models with morphing flap by using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) techniques, artificial neural networks (ANN), and non-dominated sorting genetic algorithms (NSGA II), is performed in this paper. At first, the domain is solved numerically in various two-element wing models with morphing flap using CFD techniques and lift (L) and drag ...

متن کاملStochastic functional population dynamics with jumps
In this paper we use a class of stochastic functional Kolmogorov-type model with jumps to describe the evolutions of population dynamics. By constructing a special Lyapunov function, we show that the stochastic functional differential equation associated with our model admits a unique global solution in the positive orthant, and, by the exponential martingale inequality with jumps, we dis...

متن کاملAn existence results on positive solutions for a reaction-diffusion model with logistics growth and indefinite weight
In this paper, using sub-supersolution argument, we prove an existence result on positive solution for an ecological model under certain conditions. It also describes the dynamics of the fish population with natural predation and constant yield harvesting. The assumptions are that the ecosystem is spatially homogeneous and the herbivore density is a constant which are valid assumptions for mana...
